Piercing Sizes & Measuring Guide
The first thing you must consider while buying jewellery for your piercing is its size. When it comes to piercing jewellery, different diameters, lengths, and sizes are available in the market. It's always advisable to seek guidance from a professional piercer regarding questions about your piercing. However, accurately measuring your jewellery is crucial to finding the right size. To assist you in getting started, here's a guide that can help you with this process.
MEASURE YOUR PIERCING JEWELLERY
Gauge size
The thickness of the bar/ring that goes through the piercing.
Inner diameter
Refers to the size of the inner part of the hoop, the measurement is taken in a straight line from the centre of the ring.
Outer diameter
Refers to the size of the outer part of the hoop, the measurement is taken in a straight line from the outer edges of the ring.
Post/Bar length
The length of the measurement refers to the part that is inserted into the piercing and it is taken in a straight line between the bottom base and the ornament.
