Matau Ebony Wood Pendant
Impuestos incluidos.
Rooted in ancient tradition and ocean-born symbolism, the Matau Ebony Wood Pendant embodies strength, determination, and the spirit of journey.
Featuring a sculpted fish hook form crafted from deep ebony wood and paired with a sleek silver tube, this pendant balances organic warmth with refined structure. The rich, dark wood grain gives the piece natural depth, while the clean metal element adds contrast and durability, creating a design that feels both tribal and contemporary.
The Matau, or fish hook, is a powerful symbol in Māori culture, representing strength, prosperity, determination, and safe passage across water. It is traditionally worn as a talisman of protection and good fortune, guiding its wearer through both physical and spiritual journeys.
Wear it as a standalone talisman or layer it with other symbolic pendants to build a grounded, story-driven look. A piece for those drawn to tribal aesthetics, ocean energy, and jewellery with meaning.
A hook of strength. A symbol of the journey.

Jewellery with a story
Founded in London in 1998, Tribu was built on one simple idea: jewellery should mean something. Every piece we create is designed to express individuality, not trends - crafted for people who choose their own path and wear it with confidence.

From tribal roots to modern expression
Our early collections helped pioneer tribal-inspired jewellery with a modern edge. Over the years, that influence has evolved into designs shaped by sacred geometry, spirituality, yoga culture and urban gypsy style - blending heritage with contemporary form.

Designed to stand apart
We work with a wide mix of materials, organic woods, stones and shells combined with silver, gold and metals, pushing boundaries while staying true to our roots. Tribu exists to explore what jewellery can be, not what it’s expected to be.
